INTRODUCTION

TOEIC
(Test of English for International Communication) is an English language exam taken by people who want to use English in their job.
It is managed by the Education Testing Service, which is based in America (the main US website is: http://www.toeic.com, and the European website is: http://www.toeic.eu).

TOEIC scores are accepted as proof of English ability by many multinational corporations world-wide.

TAKING TOEIC IN THE UK

Although most of the exam courses in English language schools in the UK prepare students for British English exams such as the Cambridge exams or IELTS, there are a few which offer courses preparing for TOEIC. You can find some of these from the following link:
http://www.englishinbritain.com
(in the keyword search box type TOEIC and click on the go button next to this)

You can take the test throughout the year at the ETS Public Test Centre in London. It is also possible to take it at some language schools, colleges and universities in England, Scotland and Wales (normally you must be a student there) - note that the range of possible dates for the exam is more limited at these test centres.
