INTRODUCTION

Travelling by ferry, catamaran or hovercraft can be a cheap (but slow) way of travelling to the UK from ports in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Norway or Sweden. It offers the advantage that you can bring your car with you (but note that cars drive on the left-hand side of the road in the UK).
