Why not join a Scottish Country Dance Class?

The London Branch of the RSCDS runs a large number of classes throughout the year. Some of these are regular classes during term-time, others are advanced technique and classes for young people. There is something suitable for everyone!

Beginners – suitable for those with little or no experience of Scottish Country Dancing, as basic steps and formations plus simple dances will be taught.

Improving Your Social Dancing – intended for those who have
a reasonable knowledge of the steps and formations found in popular country dances and would like to improve on that knowledge.
More unusual formations will be introduced and a wide selection of dances taught.

Technique – intended for those who have already attained a good standard of performance and have a confident working knowledge of all steps and formations.
The class aims at improving dancing technique and increasing confidence, performance style and enjoyment.

Summer General – a five week class suitable for all levels of dancers.
An opportunity for dancers to enjoy being taught by a different teacher and dancing to music provided by a different musician each week.

All of the above classes take place at Marlborough School, Sloane Avenue SW3 3AP on Wednesdays during term time. Beginners from 6.30 - 8.00 pm, Improving Your Social Dancing from 8.00 – 9.30 pm and Technique from 7.00 – 9.00 pm

Sunday Advanced Technique – aimed at advanced dancers who cannot manage to attend a weekly class and those with a good standard of dancing who wish to develop their dancing technique.

Young People – Come along and join in the fun! Why not burn off some energy and enjoy yourself dancing lively jigs. Ages 5+, and adults are welcome to stay.Church Hall, Pont St, SW1X 0BD on selected Saturday mornings monthly.
