Christmas Lights in Regent Street, London

This year's Regent Street Christmas Light switch-on was on Tuesday 8 November 2011, starting at 5pm.
The stage was located at the junction of New Burlington Street and Regent Street (map). Nearest Tube: Oxford Circus, or Piccadilly Circus
It was hosted by Heart 106.2 FM presenters Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton (http://www.heart.co.uk/london)

The lights celebrate the cinema release of the 3D family comedy animated film Arthur Christmas (see: http://www.arthurchristmas.com)
Two of the actors providing voices for the film attended (Bill Nighy is Grandsanta, and Ashley Jensen is the elf Bryony):
Bill Nighy (an English actor/comedian whose best-known part was in the film Love Actually): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Nighy
Ashley Jensen (a Scottish actress best-known for her roles in the television series Ugly Betty and Extras): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Jensen
